MA Candidate in Mental Health Counseling
McKenzie is a Therapist Intern providing therapy for children, teens and young adults in Redmond, WA and the surrounding communities.
McKenzie is a Mental Health Counselor in her second year of graduate school. She has provided Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy for children ages 2 – 6 who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has worked with children and families in this capacity for three years.
She also works with young adults experiencing a variety of issues including disordered eating, anxiety, and depression. She recently completed a clinical internship with Fairfax Behavioral Health Hospital, in Kirkland WA, working with adults suffering from acute psychosis and mood disorders.
While seeking counseling can be new and different for some client, McKenzie enjoys the process of working with her clients to discover what mental wellness looks like for them.
Childhood development/school readiness
McKenzie draws from the Cognitive Behavioral approach to inform an empathetic and Humanist stance. She enjoys working with children, families, and young adults experiencing life changes. McKenzie’s goal is to create a collaborative relationship that enables you to find wellness and hope.
